Regular Automotive Emission Control
The rapidly rising traffic volume significantly contributes to the overall air pollution. In most countries of the world, exhaust emission standards and limit values have been established in order to mitigate this issue. In Europe, there are emission standards for every type of vehicle. These regulations form the basis for the approval of the design of newly developed vehicles, as well as for the periodic automotive emission control (“emission inspection”) of registered vehicles. The emission of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons are measured with an automotive exhaust gas analyzer.
Lambdamix – Test Gas for Automotive Exhaust Gas Analyzers
The car exhaust gas analyzer have to be calibrated according to country-specific regulations at regular intervals with high-precision test gases in accordance with prescribed concentrations of sample components. In some countries, the national regulations require the use of test gases with a certificate from a laboratory accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025. Messer offers these test gases as Lambdamix gases with optional certification from an accredited laboratory.
In some countries, calibration of automotive exhaust gas analyzers is only permitted with AU test gases and an additional certificate from an analytical laboratory accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Messer offers such test gases for your car exhaust gas analyzer under the name Lambdamix with an optional certificate from the accredited laboratory.
