PROCESS DESCRIPTION
The raw material main components are basalt and coke, minor components are limestone and dolomite. These components are directly charged from the top of melting aggregates - mainly shaft furnaces, but also electric arc furnaces and smelter with submerged combustion. The basalt is melted at temperature of 1500 - 1550 °C and is leaving the furnace on the bottom to the fiberizer, which makes web of fibers. The collected web is transferred to a curing oven at 230 - 250 ºC.
